On request of the chairman of the board we evaluated the governance of the organisation and the effectiveness of the board after a period of severe change.
Strong economic pressure, a changing external environment and the recent change of the CEO, were reason for the chairman of the board to evaluate board performance as well the governance structure.
We started the evaluation by performing one-on-one interviews with each of the board members and some key (external) stakeholders. At the same time we performed both a team dynamics as well as psychometric analysis.
During a board retreat we presented the results and used this input to align board composition and governance structure to future challenges. This workshop resulted in an updated profile for the composition of the board as well as an update to the governance structure.
