We worked with a social entrepreneur in creating an investable large-scale landscape restoration industry based on sustainable and profitable business models.
A quarter of the world’s land mass is seriously degraded from centuries of human activity. Our client realised that only a financially attractive approach would interest (institutional) investors to provide the funds necessary to solve this massive issue.
Together we developed a financial business model to reveal the untapped opportunities for sustainable economic development through landscape restauration. Based on this business plan we raised seed investment, built the organisation and select first, investable, landscape restauration projects around the world.
This effort has led to a serious growth investment that enabled the organisation to develop into a leading social enterprise. Today they are realising projects around the world in close cooperation with investors and large corporations.
